AGM 2015

Please come along to the 2015 Annual General Meeting on 17th November, 7:30 pm, at the Golf Club. This is the event where Committee Members and Team Captains are elected and is the chance to be involved in the decision-making of the Club. Live @ The Pavilion

This August Bank Holiday, the Club is hosting most of the events for the Live @ The Pavilion event raising money for the Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund and the SWCC Academy. Nets Appeal Update

Those of you who are players or parents of Academy members will be well aware of the use we make of the Anglo-American Playing Fields. Friday evenings and Sunday mornings in particular are busy with young people being coached and playing cricket. When the sun is shining there is no better place to be. U19s Crocus Cricnic

Our u19s play this coming Sunday in a crucial match against Colchester.  The competition is a new national initiative by the ECB to help retain young players.  We get marks for atmosphere which means coloured clothing, music, BBQ etc.  The team is one of the strongest youth sides SWCC has ever fielded. Matt Gouldstone, coach and singer!

Come and hear music which has not been heard for centuries! Many of you will be aware that Matt is our new club coach and a fine cricketer in his own right. You may not have realised that he is also a singer of early music. His ensemble, 4d/o, will be giving two very special performances at the Almshouses Chapel in Abbey Lane on 14th July. Alec Smith

Alec joins us for a month from Tasmania where he plays for the Tasmanian u19s.  Alec has also had experience at a national youth level with Australia u16s.  He will also assist with coaching. Alec hopes to join us for the season in 2016.  Many thanks to the members who have offered to accommodate him.  Welcome, Alec!
