As agreed last season we are introducing a Club Blazer for 2015 which we hope will be of interest to senior players, Vice Presidents and supporters.  Gray Palmer will be supplying them.  There are two versions: a. Winter training programme

In response to feedback we have made some changes for 2015. Each age group will have 5 consecutive Fridays and every member of the age group will be able to train together. There will be no development squads. The players who we believe to be suitable for the Essex Matchplay teams (u13-16) and the Peter Coe competition (u11-13) will form our senior and junior Emerging Player squads who will train on a Tuesday. Nets Appeal

Those of you who are players or parents of Academy members will be well aware of the use we make of the Anglo-American Playing Fields. Friday evenings and Sunday mornings in particular are busy with young people being coached and playing cricket. When the sun is shining there is no better place to be. We’re looking for a coach

Saffron Walden Cricket Club is a club that provides a pathway from participation for all ages and abilities through to high performance at East Anglian Premier League level. In 2014 it ran eight senior teams including a women’s team, a Sunday friendly XI and a midweek league team together with nineteen junior teams from under 9 through to under 16 and including two girls’ sides and our Crocus (disability) squad. SWCC – new charitable status

The club has secured charitable status and is officially a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity No. 1157468).  This is an enormous vindication of the work we have been doing in and for the community of Saffron Walden.  The inclusive nature of the club and the provision of cricket for people of all ages and abilities, the development of our programme for girls and women and the use of our ground by local schools and clubs were all factors Read more…

SWCC AGM on 25th November

The AGM of the club will be held at the Golf Club next Tuesday 25 November – 7 for 7.30pm.   We will appoint officers and discuss plans for the future.  We will also formally announce the conversion of the club to the status of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (details here). Do come along. The Golf Club is a very welcoming environment with a bar – and the AGM shouldn’t last too long!
