Winter Coaching and Indoor Cricket

Your feedback on our training programmes has always been positive. This year we feel we have the opportunity to take a different approach to create more fun and provide more real-game experience. This is partly in response to advice from the ECB, cricket’s governing body, and our own coaches. The focus will be on indoor cricket interspersed with formal coaching sessions. 2017 Senior Awards announced

Champion Ladies

Champion ladies The Ladies’ team beat Battisford in the Two Counties T20 Challenge (Section B) to complete an unbeaten season and secure the league title at the first time of asking.  Since the girls’ section was set up in 2005 when the Academy was established it has been a long and bumpy road trying to establish ladies’ cricket in the club. Learn to Coach!

As we draw to the end of the 2017 season we have to look ahead to next season.  Could you support the club and get real satisfaction from helping others to learn to play. Academy – end of season

The Academy season runs for the Summer Term.  The last training session will be on Friday 28th July. Parents of U10s and younger, who train on Sunday mornings, are reminded that the last session of term, Sunday 23rd July, will be the Rainbow Cricket Tournament and will go on for longer (possibly 3 hours). Walden Women Walking

This Girl Can is the UK national campaign to inspire girls and women to exercise. SWCC Fantasy Cricket 2017

In 2017, SWCC are launching an intra-club Fantasy Cricket Competition. This is based on individual and team stats from last year. Each player that played senior cricket for SWCC in 2016 has been given a value based on their statistics.
