Saffron Walden won both their matches in the East Anglia Premier League Twenty20 on Sunday 24th May

In the first semi final of the day, Walden won the toss and chose to bat.

SWCC: 151-5  (Matt Gouldstone 35; Ali Russell 89)

Burwell:  120-9 (Joe Barrs 3-16)

Walden won by 31 runs

 

Granta beat Ramsey in second semi final of the day. Granta batted first and scored 164-5. Ramsey only got 108-9 in reply. 

 

In the Final, Granta won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 111-5 (Cam Taylor 2-17; Tom Philp 2-15)

Walden chased this successfully scoring 114-3 with an over to spare (Andy Wright 56*; Ali Russell 49) 

It was a great performance from the team. Especial congratulations to Ali Russell who scored vital runs in both games, his first 2 competitive games for the club. 

Walden move onto the regional finals day at Horsford CC on Sunday 12 July.
