Saffron Building Society

We are delighted to have Saffron Building Society as our lead partners.  Our relationship with the building society goes back over many years.  Indeed, the building society was formed in 1849 and SWCC arrived on the scene in 1859, although cricket had been played in the town since at least 1757. It is a regional building society with branches in Bishop’s Stortford, Brentwood, Colchester, Halstead, Haverhill, Royston, Saffron Walden and Ware. We play cricket against teams in each of these towns (except Ware). It is a member of the Building Societies Association.

We have much in common in terms of ambition for the future and a shared commitment to our community.  We make  good use of the Saffron Hub in the Market Square as a free of charge meeting place, for instance.  Thank you, Saffron Building Society.
