The Saffron Walden Cricket Club Under 9s team enjoyed the privilege of playing on the outfield at Chelmsford throughout lunch on Saturday during the second day of the Essex vs Yorkshire County Championship match. This was in recognition of the team remaining undefeated and winning their league last season.
The boys got to form a guard of honour for the players as they came onto the pitch at the start of play and meet cricketing heroes such as Jonny Bairstow, Ryan ten Doeschate, Alastair Cook and Peter Siddle.
