- To nurture the technical, social and physical development of all local youngsters interested in cricket regardless of ethnicity, gender or ability and instill in them the ability to analyse and improve their own game.
- To promote above all the desire to win within the Spirit of Cricket and instill in young players a love of the game.
- To recognise the significant responsibility that all adults have for the welfare of young people in sport.
- To ensure that succeeding generations of young people in the community have these opportunities in order to ensure the sustainability of Saffron Walden Cricket Club and other local clubs.
- To emulate the pre-eminent status of Saffron Walden Cricket Club at the junior level by promoting elite performance and make the resources of the club, both human and financial, available to achieve these ends.
